UCLA Health Central Service Technician II - Ronald Reagan Medical Center in Los Angeles, California

Description

As a Central Service Technician 2 primarily in the Westwood and Santa Monica WaveMark procedural areas, you will support the clinical staff by helping to ensure critical supplies are available when needed for patient care and safety. This team member will be working directly with the clinicians and physicians on case preparation and formulary assessments. This will include creating outdate reports and giving presentations.

Responsibilities

include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily tasks will include the RFID tagging of supplies upon receiving, stocking, and reordering of supplies.

  • Tracking and management of order issues identified in the WaveMark dashboard along with issues associated with the reconciliation of items used during cases and patient billings.

  • In addition to the WaveMark areas, the incumbent will also manage untagged supplies located throughout the IR, CT, Ultrasound, and CSIR across both campuses, and be cross trained throughout the Main OR and other procedural areas.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience with tagging and managing supply issues through the WaveMark platform.

  • Must have a minimum of 5-years' experience in a supply chain environment.

  • Must have experience working directly with physicians in identifying their needs and concerns.

  • Must have a proven track record in addressing supply issues to ensure inventory doesn't run out.

  • Must be detailed oriented and able to function in a fast-[aced environment.

  • Must possess strong English verbal and written communication skills for public presentations.

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.

  • Must be able to adhere to strict deadlines without continuous monitoring.

  • Must be able to push, pull, transport, and lift supplies up to 50 pounds.

  • Must have a track record in researching orders and supplies in Lawson.

  • Must have experience working in a team environment, including collaboration within the chain of command.
