    Position description

UCLA’s Civil & Environmental Engineering Department is looking for adjunct professors in all ranks. Adjunct positions involve teaching and research in one of the following areas:

• Structures

• Geotechnical

• Water Resources

• Environmental Engineering

• Earthquake Engineering

• Materials Engineering

• Transportation Engineering

The adjunct positions require a Ph.D. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related field, with prior classroom teaching highly preferred. Work and research experience will be considered. Salary commensurate with qualifications.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

A PhD degree in the areas of Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or a related field is required.

Additional qualifications (required at time of start)

Distinguished career experience in academia or industry or some combination of both.

Preferred qualifications

Teaching and research experience are highly preferred.
