Army National Guard Units LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER in Los Alamitos, California

Summary This LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER position, is located in the Logistics function of the Los Alamitos Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF). This is an open until filled announcement. Responsibilities THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER, GS-0346-13, is to manage, plan, organize, and direct AASF logistics operations in support of AASF and supported aviation unit training and flight operations. The Aviation Logistics Management Officer (ALMO) provides logistical support to, and partners with, the AASF Commander, Flight Operations, Safety, Quality Assurance, and supported unit commanders in planning, scheduling, and implementing a comprehensive flying program. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance. Requirements Conditions of Employment CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Military technicians must be assigned to a military position in the same unit which they are employed or, in a unit that is supported by the employing activity. AREA I= Current California National Guard employees who are serving on a Permanent/Indefinite/Temporary appointment. AREA II= Current California National Guard members. AREA III= Current military members of the Air Force/Army National Guard, Air Force/Army Reserve or Air Force/Army Active Duty. (Applicants who are currently in other Air/Army branches and NOT currently a member of the California National Guard (CNG) must become a member of a compatible unit of assignment within the Army CNG commensurate with the military grade listed in this announcement prior to federal assignment). Military Grades: O-2 through O-4 Recruitment/Relocation Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, subject to funding and approval. PCS Relocation Costs IS NOT authorized based on determination that Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move is not in the Government best interest. Must maintain appropriate level of security clearance. Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards. Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Qualifications General Experience: Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field; Experience using computer and automation systems. LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER, GS-0346-13: Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training identifying activities involving logistical support operations; Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan; Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan; Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions; Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices; Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
