Amentum C-12/UC-35 Transport Aircraft Mechanic - AM-3 (FAA A&P) - Los Alamitos, CA in Los Alamitos, California

The C-12 (Beech 200) and/or UC-35 (Cessna 560) Citation Transport Aircraft Mechanic AM-3 (FAA A&P) Mechanic Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12 / King Air (Beech 200) 200, and/or UC-35 (Cessna 560) Citation aircraft.

  • Valid FAA A&P Certificate is Required, which reflects compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements.

  • A Secret Clearance is required; US Citizenship is required to obtain a US Govt Secret Clearance.

  • Thirteen (13) or More years of King Air 200/ C-12 and/or /UC-35 (Cessna 560) Citation aircraft experience is preferred for the AM-3.

  • Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.

  • These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components.

  • Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.

  • Reads and interprets manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

Minimum Requirements for AM-3

  • High School degree or equivalent is required.

  • ValidFAA A&P Certificate is Required, which reflects compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements.

  • A Minimum of Ten (10) years of King Air (Beech 200) C-12, and/or UC-35 (Cessna 560) Citation A&P aircraft experience is Required. Thirteen (13) years of hands-on C-12 / UC-35 is preferred under the Union CBA for the AM-3 Mechanic.

  • Valid Driver’s License is required.

  • Tools are Required; must have shadowed/etched tools and toolbox.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt SECRET Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility.

  • Must be willing and able to work any Shift assigned under the Union CBA (First or Second Shift is required).

Preferred and Physical Qualifications

  • Perform duties as outlined in the purpose of this position.

  • Comply with written Customer and company maintenance and logistics procedures and policies.

  • Comply with the FAA regulations as applicable.

  • Know, understand and comply with the requirements outlined in the contract performance work statement (PWS).

  • Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.

  • Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.

  • Perform engine run or taxi operations. Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.

  • May be required to work and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation.

  • Required to provide own hand tools, marked, shadowed and inventoried AR I/A/W 95.20 (GOP).

  • Reports To: Site Supervisor or AM

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.

  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.

  • Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.

  • Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.

  • Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs.
