St. John Medical Center is seeking two full time Pediatric - Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Hospitalists, in beautiful Longview, Washington. The Nurse Practitioners will respond to the newborn population needs, in the inpatient setting, and work in collaboration with Family Medicine with Obstetrics Physicians, OBGYN’s, and Pediatricians at St. John Medical Center. The ideal NP candidate will have three to five years of Neonatal provider experience and certified as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.

Highlights about the practice:

  • Core Functions:

  • Rounding on all newborns on a LVL II Nursery

  • Respond to neonatal resuscitation (including intubation) for all deliveries

  • Manage and have oversight for other newborn conditions that are currently transferred out for, thus, keeping all revenue within Longview and families together, as intended.

  • Phototherapy, IV glucose support, IV antibiotics, and Short duration CPAP

  • Neonatologist Telemedicine support

  • Schedule: Variable:

  • Two twelve-hour nightshifts per week

  • One onsite twenty four-hour shift once per two weeks

  • EPIC EMR with on-site: Medical Social Workers, Dietitians, Clinical Pharmacist, Diabetic Specialists, Hospice & Palliative Care Specialists, Phlebotomist, Behavioral Health, In-house Controlled Substance Management and Chronic Care Coordination Teams
