The Instruction Support Tech will work 75 hours or less per month. The typical scheduled work hours will be between 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm Monday through Friday and limited to 75 hours per month, 19 hours per week on average. Examples of Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Assist students with the I-BEST intake process on an ongoing basis. This can include assisting with quarterly I-BEST enrollment, helping students navigate educational and personal goals, including challenges with financial aid issues/appeals, academic struggles, schedule changes, absences, personal challenges, etc.  
  • Assist with the development and coordination of current, proposed, and mandated college I-BEST programs.  
  • Provide students with equity-focused navigational and support services. 
  • Refer Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education (IELCE) students to appropriate on- and off-campus resources. 
  • Foster successful transitions for Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education (IELCE) students. 
  • Maintain program and student data including outreach, enrollment, progression, completion and assessment. 
  • Represent I-BEST/College and Career Preparation by participating in community and campus events that support enrollment, retention and monitoring student success. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Typical Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with some college experience 
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Self-starter with high degree of motivation, energy, flexibility and integrity
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Strong oral, written, interpersonal communication, and tech skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Google apps or similar programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree 
  • Experience in an office setting or college testing environment desired 
  • Experience with PeopleSoft/ctcLink 
  • Bilingual
