We’re looking for a skillful Production Technician to join our CanSource Team to help operate and maintain production lines for Sleeving operations and its associated equipment on aluminum cans.

Your role here

From Day 1, you will run and maintain sleeving equipment such as Aurora type Sleevers, Asus Steam tunnels, and Ergo Auto strappers, while troubleshooting any issues that arise. You'll be responsible for checking the quality of finished products, fixing equipment problems, and fine-tuning production machinery to ensure we meet our goal of up to 250 units per minute.

Your experience and background

  • 1-3 years of experience with high-speed pallet loading/unloading automated container sleeving and conveyance systems

  • Stand-up and Sit-down Forklift experience is required

  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial machinery, conveyance, and line control

  • Knowledge of adjusting, servicing, lubrication settings, and exchanging components

  • Good communication skills and ability to use Microsoft Office products

  • Working with light chemicals (such as ink) and being around magnetic-field machinery

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand on feet up to 8 hours per day
