Senior Financial AnalystSalary Grade: 26$96,740 - $97,240The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking one (1) qualified candidate to fill the full-time position Senior Financial Analyst in the Bureau of Revenue. Description of Division:The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), a recognized leader and innovator in public health and mental hygiene services nationally and internationally. The Bureau of Revenue within Finance Division is responsible for the provision of timely, accurate and transparent information, analysis, policies, and procedures necessary to plan, allocate and monitor the Department's financial resources. To ensure efficient capture of revenues due to the Department from a range of government, private and other sources through research, billing, and collection activities. To ensure the Department receives and maximizes their allowable reimbursement from state, federal, and 3rd party funding sources for all Agency expenditures, seeks one (1) dynamic Close Out Unit Senior Financial Analyst.Job Description:The primary role of the Close Out Unit is to determine the amount of reimbursement Providers are entitled to for contracted services provided under each program unit funded in each contract. This is accomplished by performing a limited review of claims to ensure that providers comply with the budget approved to achieve the scope of services under the contract. The year-end Close Out Unit communicates the outcome of the claims verification process to Providers and other DOHMH units.Responsibilities/Duties:•Review and approve Claims Verifications and Close Outs completed by the Analysts for Mental Hygiene contracts;•Review the appeals resolutions completed;•Release Claims Verifications and Close Outs to the providers;•Follow up with the Division of mental Hygiene on outstanding budget modifications;•Train and guide Close Out Unit Financial Analysts;•Responsible for Close-Outs contacting delegate agencies, and creating finalization documents;•Conduct claims verification of delegate agencies.Preferred Skills•Familiarity with accounting practices and DOHMH payment and accrual systems and an understanding of the City’s financial management systems and tools.•The ideal candidate for this position must be a pro-active and self-motivated individual with the ability to work in teams and in a highly dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and timelines. •Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.•Strong organization and communication skills.•High degree of proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint •Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and possess good interpretive skills. •Demonstrate initiative and good verbal skills.
