Fedcap Placement Coordinator in Long Island City, New York

JOB PURPOSE: The role of the Placement Coordinator is to provide day-to-day career services for active students and graduates.

JOB SUMMARY: The Placement Coordinator will intake job orders from prospective employers, provide placement to qualified students, generate new job leads, and provide quality customer service to each employer. The Placement Coordinator is responsible for the follow-up to ensure an employer and graduate’s needs are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.

Provide each student and graduate with job placement assistance.

2.

Meet or exceed established benchmarks for placement rates.

3.

Prepare students and graduates for a successful job search by informing them about job market updates, job opportunities and realistic salary expectations.

4.

Schedule and follow-up on all student interviews.

5.

Organize and coordinate Program Advisory Committee (PAC) meetings.

6.

Establish, develop, and maintain working relationships with prospective employers, as well as invite them to visit APEX and its upcoming graduating classes.

7.

Maintain comprehensive records for each student and graduate’s interaction with the Placement department as it relates to their job search.
