SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the RN Supervisor and/or Program Director, provides operational support to facilitate the delivery of clinical services to patients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Supervises the (self) administration of medication to patients.

  • Transcribes medication orders and monitors medication records for compliance.

  • Perform accurate and complete audits of medication transported, received, administered, stored, or disposed, as trained, and assigned.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and conduct in accordance with Phoenix House medication policies and procedures.

  • Enter data into computer EMR software.

  • Answering telephones

  • Update and file patient medical records

  • Scheduled appointments

  • Arranging for hospital admissions and laboratory services

  • Correspond with external agencies, pertaining to client(s) as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This job operates in an indoor office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
