Job Title: Certified Athletic Trainer (CAT)Payrate: $85 per hourSchedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pmDepartment: AthleticsDue Date: 4/19/2024Position Overview: The Certified Athletic Trainer (CAT) is responsible for meeting athletes' training needs, preventing injuries, and providing timely treatment. They will educate coaches, athletes, and parents on injury prevention and treatment, and offer medical coverage for events as directed. All activities require approval from the Director of Athletics.Key Responsibilities:Attend scheduled home events.Educate coaches in sports first aid.Demonstrate proper equipment fitting.Act as a liaison between medical professionals and athletes.Administer Impact baseline testing.Prepare injured athletes for transport.Assess readiness for participation.Treat minor injuries.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).State licensure as an Athletic Trainer.CPR/AED certification.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.Preferred experience in school or sports organizations.Physical Requirements:Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Stand for extended periods.Agility for injury treatment procedures.
