Eaton Corporation Senior Distributor Sales Specialist in Long Branch, New Jersey

Eaton’s ES EMEA LSD division is currently seeking a Senior Distributor Sales Specialist.

What you’ll do:

The primary function of Senior Distributor Sales Specialist is to manage and demonstrate strong knowledge of distribution to increase POS sales in the marketplace. This role requires external customer interface at the corporate and field levels to implement programs, product knowledge and overall account strategy and plans. This position will also be responsible for coordination with our regional sales managers (RSM’s) on account targets and support programs.

Essential Functions:

  • Distribution Sales across National, regional and electrical distributors - link Corporate strategy to field (sales growth, target accounts, new biz opportunities NBO's, NPI (new products))

  • You will be assigned a list of accounts (The Americas) that is very dynamic in terms of distributor complexity, volume of locations, and territory size

  • Work with various departments (i.e. sales, operations, purchasing) and levels of distributor accounts to ensure overall account support

  • Coordinate part maintenance (new items, obsolete, price modifications) and manage recommendations for stock levels

  • Partner with regional sales managers, on a channel strategy and plan each year; and effectively execute this plan against set targets (POS focus)

  • Make recommendations to management to increase effectiveness of initiatives and programs

  • Track and measure distributor growth using sales reporting tools on an on-going basis.

  • Independently develop and implements action plans targeted at YOY growth and agreed performance levels.

  • Make recommendations to management regarding potential challenges or issues on a case-by-case basis, offering solutions and pro-actively scheduling joint sales calls in coordination with our RSMs.

  • Train distributors on the value proposition of Eaton Life Safety and seek target accounts for our mutual benefit.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

• Minimum three (3) years experience in an outside sales role related to distribution

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience within Sales and knowledge of Security distribution

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $97,500-$143,000

Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
