Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Workday HRIS with a focus on Talent Performance and Learning Modules. This role will drive the strategic management, optimization, and innovation of Workday’s Talent Performance functionalities while overseeing the integration and support of SumTotal Learning Modules. The ideal candidate will possess forward-thinking expertise in Workday and hands-on technical experience, and will act as a thought partner to guide talent and learning strategies. The Senior Manager will handle platform roadmap development, project management, and support for Talent and Learning functions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and delivering impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for Workday’s Talent Performance Module, ensuring alignment with organizational talent management objectives and forward-thinking approaches.

  • Oversee the configuration, management, and optimization of Workday’s Talent Performance Module. Ensure it supports business needs, enhances user experience, and drives performance improvements.

  • Lead and manage projects related to Workday Talent Performance Module, including implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and integrations. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.

  • Act as a thought partner for the HR and Talent Management teams, providing strategic insights and recommendations to drive talent development and learning initiatives.

  • Identify and prioritize system enhancements, new features, and innovations to support talent development and learning function. Develop a platform roadmap that aligns with business goals and incorporates industry best practices.

  • Partner with HR and other business units to understand needs and deliver effective solutions using Workday/Sumtotal. Ensure hands-on technical expertise in Workday’s functional configuration and capabilities.

  • Develop and deliver training programs and provide ongoing support to users of Workday Talent Performance Module. Facilitate adoption and ensure users can fully leverage system capabilities.

  • Manage relationships with Workday and other technology vendors, including SumTotal for the Learning Module, to ensure timely resolution of issues and alignment with organizational needs.

  • Ensure systems comply with relevant laws and regulations. Collaborate with IT and security teams to maintain robust system security and user access controls.

  • Collaborate on change management efforts for system enhancements and new implementations. Ensure effective communication, training, and support for stakeholders throughout the change process.

  • Monitor industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to keep Workday Talent Performance and SumTotal Learning Modules competitive and innovative. Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for future investments.

  • Conduct regular audits of system usage, performance, and security to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with internal and external standards.

What you have

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Workday HRIS platforms, with a focus on Talent Performance. Experience with SumTotal Learning Modules is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of talent management, learning and development practices, and Workday’s functional configuration.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in developing and executing platform strategies and roadmaps, with a forward-thinking approach to talent management and learning.

  • Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive system optimization, customization, and innovation.

  • Excellent analytical skills with experience in data management and reporting.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with senior leadership.

  • Workday certification is a plus.
