About the Role:

As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for directing and managing operations staff and production activities to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services. Reporting to the Director of Operations or site head, you will play a critical role in overseeing daily operational standards, maintaining quality, and implementing process improvements.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily operational standards are met to deliver accurate and timely services to customers while meeting quality standards.
  • Maintain sufficient staffing levels in operational areas to optimize productivity and service delivery.
  • Engage with customers to address delivery-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Understand Lean principles and goals, ensuring adherence to lean changes and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support company mandates and changes, facilitating implementation and compliance with corporate directives.
  • Oversee quality systems for new production setups, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Gather and analyze data related to quality, efficiency, equipment utilization, and staffing levels, recommending improvements as needed.
  • Provide formal staff training to accommodate changes within current procedures and processes.
  • Conduct training sessions for external stakeholders, including customers or corporate personnel, as required.
  • Coordinate and schedule internal staff training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor safety and security policies to ensure regulatory compliance and promptly report work-related injuries or illnesses to Human Resources.
  • Interview, screen, select, train, coach, and counsel production staff to maintain a competent and motivated workforce.
  • Accurately interpret and communicate policies and procedures in accordance with the employee handbook.
  • Maintain and promote positive employee relations in the work environment, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of payroll, time, and attendance records for production staff.
  • Develop and maintain high levels of safety awareness, implementing sound safety processes to promote positive team behaviors and achieve safety objectives.
  • Disseminate, understand, and apply security and privacy policies, standards, and guidelines to protect the company's and customers' informational assets.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a production or processing environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with staff, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and experience implementing process improvements to drive operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory requirements applicable to production operations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications used in operations management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyze data to drive decision-making and process improvement initiatives.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in employee training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Knowledge of payroll and timekeeping systems and procedures.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
