The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is responsible for creating the spaces that inspire Amazonians to make history. The globally diverse team manages Amazon’s corporate offices in more than 60 countries. GREF provides real estate transactions expertise, business partnering, space and occupancy planning, design and construction, capital investment program management, facility maintenance, and operations all contributing to the employee experience and leveraging places and programs to enable culture to thrive at Amazon.

Within GREF, the Global Real Estate & Facilities Intelligence and Digital Experience (GREF IDX) team empowers GREF with the data they need to make better business decisions, manage the Amazon real estate portfolio and deliver a positive employee experience. We are on a mission to use data to inform where, when and with whom work gets done at Amazon.

As a Technical Program Manager, Level 6 within the Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization at Amazon, you will be responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of complex, high-impact technical programs that drive the GREF business forward. You will need to be an expert in the data, metrics and systems that are important to the GREF function and act as a trusted advisor.

Key job responsibilities

• Partner with GREF Directors and their teams to develop a deep understanding of the organization's business and technical landscape, identifying strategic program opportunities that align with GREF's goals

• Lead the definition, planning, and execution of complex, multi-year technical programs, addressing cross-functional dependencies and risks

• Deep dive customer pain points and write business requirements for dashboards, reports and technology products

• Effectively communicate program vision, objectives, and key milestones to all stakeholders, including senior leadership during business reviews

• Collaborate with engineering, product, and other functional teams to drive the successful delivery of technical initiatives

• Establish and maintain program governance, ensuring adherence to processes and best practices

• Identify and proactively address program-level risks and roadblocks, proposing mitigation strategies

• Implement and continuously improve program management methodologies, tools, and templates

• Coach and mentor more junior Technical Program Managers, sharing domain expertise and best practices

Basic Qualifications

  • • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field

  • • 8+ years of experience in technical program management or a related role

  • • Proven track record of leading the successful delivery of complex, large-scale technical programs

  • • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills

  • • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities, with the ability to influence across organizational boundaries

  • • Expertise in program management methodologies, tools, and techniques (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, JIRA, Confluence)

  • • Proficient in project planning, risk management, and resource allocation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

  • • Master's degree in a technical or business-related field

  • • Experience in real estate or workplace industry

  • • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and architectures

  • • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)

  • • Demonstrated ability to drive organizational transformation and change
