MATERNITY COVER, 1 YEAR: This contract will ideally start in December to allow for handover.

Your New Role

The primary focus of this role is to manage one of our key DTR partners; driving both distribution and revenue, with a clear focus on the ‘Fashion’ product area.

The position will be responsible for managing their business area, and meeting/exceeding all revenue targets. In addition, the successful applicant is expected to establish; maintain; and develop relationships with all relevant buyers and commercial stakeholders.

The position will require some travel to effectively manage & provide an excellent service to this prominent partner.

Your Role Responsibilities

  • Establish the short-, medium- and long-term plans for the assigned account across all WBD brands.

  • Ensure strategic plans are developed, with recommendations made encompassing all core commercial and brand factors (including, but not limited to, supply route; franchise usage & commercial terms)

  • Delivery of revenues to agreed quarterly budgetary targets against assigned product areas and franchises. Including updates to relevant territory stakeholders.

  • Successful development & listings of comprehensive product ranges, across all relevant consumer areas and pricing architectures

  • Full ownership, including all negotiations of contractual terms that meet/exceed the current company guidelines.

  • Ensure that all products submitted for approval are in line with the broader strategy and add maximum value to the franchise.

  • Organise & execute immersion sessions – across Creative, Franchise, PD & Commercial – with the ambition of increasing WBD presence at Retail via best in class product and marketing executions.

  • Engage and influence to gain campaign level executions.

  • Work with relevant internal WBD stakeholders to maximise revenues on a regional / global basis and coordinate pitches where required.

  • Support and drive initiatives identified via WBD CP, Franchise & UK Retail teams.Formulate plans to support local country initiatives as agreed with department leads.

  • Conduct quarterly business reviews, ensuring that we are building a business that is in line with our commercial KPI’s, and continually reviewing performance against ambitions. Ensure best practices are shared, and we remain nimble in our decision making – failing fast where appropriate.

  • Ensure that the partner is supported and serviced to a best in class standard.

  • The licensing and retail apprentice will report into this role and will require coaching and support through their degree learning.

  • Share knowledge and assist in coaching other members of the UK CP team as our ever-evolving business develops. Ensuring best practices are shared, and all activations are learned from.

  • Support of other tasks / project responsibilities will also be included within this role – however, these are continually evolving in line with the ever-changing consumer landscape, as well as business priorities and brand opportunities.

Skills an Experience Requred

  • Solid fashion product development and retail experience.

  • Buying or licensing experience is a plus

  • Previous consumer products experience at a similar level, this may have been attained via a licensor, licensee or retail position.

  • Comfortable with numbers and forecasting to deal with financial responsibilities

  • Retail background, via manufacturing, or via similar experience within another licensor.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
