What the day will look like

As a key member of our dynamic organization, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-profile clients and navigating complex marine cargo claims with precision and expertise. Your responsibilites will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of high-value marine cargo claims from inception to resolution whilst ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction

  • Collaborating closely with clients, carriers, Aon brokers and all stakeholders to facilitate efficient claims handling processes

  • Analyse claim documentation, investigate losses and negotiate settlements in accoridance with policy terms and regulatory requirements

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced colleagues fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team

  • Staying abreast of industry trends, regulation and best practice to enhance Aon's claims handling capabilties and risk mitigation

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Minimum 5 years marine cargo claims handling experience ideally gained from within a reputable insurance or shipping organisation

  • Proven experience of managing complex claims and delivering results in a client-facing environment

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with high-profile clients and stakeholders

  • Strong understanding of marine cargo insurance principles, policies and procedures.
