Your opportunity

Charles Schwab UK (CSUK) is an affiliate of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc, and operates primarily as a business development and marketing hub, promoting Schwab and its services in the UK. CSUK’s main function is to introduce UK resident clients to Schwab’s available products and services, and to assist CS&Co by ensuring that UK investors have a seamless experience between our UK and US operations.

As an Investment Consultant, you are responsible for supporting branch business development and client loyalty goals by providing an exceptional client experience for prospects and non-practice clients. You will be proactively working with potential clients to discuss their financial needs and to help them achieve financial fitness. By engaging with prospects in a needs-based dialogue, you are gaining a thorough understanding of their expectations to position the appropriate Schwab products and services, which further speaks to the diligence required to ensure compliance with policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.

Your typical day will include in-branch meetings, as well as reaching out to prospects and existing clients primarily through outbound calling, participation in group workshops, inbound calls, emails, video meetings and hard copy correspondence. Through engagement, you will support client outreach, client retention, and improve overall client satisfaction, as you position yourself to be a key resource in helping build or expand the client relationship by consolidating assets, helping to open new account, and expand a potential or current client relationship through effective onboarding. As part of a collaborative team, you will partner alongside both Senior Investment Consultants and International Financial Consultants to continue creating a positive experience for identifying and referring additional opportunities as appropriate.

We are looking to add an Investment Consultant who demonstrates the following:

  • Ability to quickly build trust, rapport, and relationships with clients, prospects, and Schwab colleagues

  • Results driven, highly motivated self-starter who possesses integrity, a strong work ethic, and a passion for helping clients plan for their financial goals and objectives

  • Desire to pursue appropriate professional designations

  • Strong time management and productivity; ability to successfully balance competing priorities

  • Ability to identify opportunities through needs-based analysis

  • Possess a keen attention to detail

  • Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude and an ability to take initiative

This role is located in the UK branch and is not available as fully remote.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.

What you have

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred in Brokerage, Asset Management & Banking

  • Business development experience within Financial Services industry strongly preferred or equivalent sales experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience

  • Articulate a strong professional presence and communication skills (verbal & written) including interpersonal and influencing skills
