Your opportunity

  • Be responsible for the development and implementation of the events strategy for all homegrown, joint-venture and third-party events across EMEA and Latin America, ensuring activity is aligned with business objectives.

  • Be responsible for the development and implementation of the webcast strategy across EMEA and Latin America, ensuring activity is aligned with business objectives, priority products and market trends.

  • Management of event team professionals, including team development, project delegation and supervision, workflow oversight and evaluation.

  • Lead, manage and execute first class coordinated physical and virtual events and webcasts, from concept through to completion and post event evaluation, working closely with global partners for consistently where applicable.

  • Work closely with the Channel Marketing team to agree and implement the events strategy by region based on allocated budget. Manage individual event budgets and seek to make economies of scale if appropriate.

  • With event team support, lead, manage and execute our key flagship events in various regions across Europe and UK.

  • Work with third-party events agencies, other fund groups and distributors, to project manage successful events.

  • Support introducers in key regions to align event activity with business objectives and key projects.

  • Manage, maintain, and ensure the continual improvement of event and webcast processes, working closely with internal teams including compliance, business management, legal, data privacy, product, presentations, brand, IT and digital delivery teams, to adapt and align with changing policy, business objectives and client experience.

  • Maintain a calendar of all events and webcasts that align with our sales objectives.

  • Liaise with internal clients to identify key success metrics and monitor success of events and webcasts against these.

  • Develop dedicated events microsites, email communications, and bespoke styling for events in-keeping with brand guidelines.

  • Build strategic partnerships across the firm, maintaining good relationships with key business and marketing stakeholders.

  • Work closely with regional sales teams across EMEA and Latin America, to fully understand their regional strategies and how events can best support them.

  • Work closely with fund managers and wider investment teams, discussing event ideas, requirements, and coordinating all logistics accordingly.

  • At times, work closely with Events and Marketing teams in North America and Asia Pacific, to align strategic goals and produce global events / webcasts where applicable, and act as support network.

  • Regularly meet and chair meetings with teams in brand, content, presentations, multimedia, product, compliance to discuss upcoming events, support required and ensure objectives can be met.

  • Deliver quarterly, monthly, and ad hoc reports and presentations as requested for regional sales meetings, board meetings, and investment teams.

  • Put the client at the heart of all activity, ensuring the client experience is seamless, engaging, and informative.

  • Ensure familiarity with Janus Henderson’s product offering, financial promotions/literature principles and processes, as well as guidance from compliance. Ensure appropriate checks and sign off procedures are always adhered to.

  • Travel across UK, Europe and North America

  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

    Must have skills

  • Educated to degree level or similar preferable

  • Good knowledge of financial services marketing and events

  • Excellent knowledge of event management, including developing, implementing, and managing events and events related activities, using internal resources and external event organisers.

  • Sound influencing skills, measured, diplomatic and assertive.

  • Sound people management and development skills as the role will require interaction with numerous internal and external resources.

  • Experience using virtual event platforms and video conferencing software.

  • Computer literate, with good skills in Microsoft Office and Outlook

    Nice to have skills

  • Experience working in Asset Management

  • Experience using Pardot / Salesforce

  • Second language
