Our coverage of China’s financial market, economy and businesses expands beyond Asian hours, with increasing amount of market-moving company filings, government announcements and market actions breaking around the clock.

Bloomberg News is looking for a London-based journalist that can work with reporters and editors during the European and US trading hours to monitor and deliver this-just-in news related to China, and to expand the breaking news stories with needed context and analysis.

We'll trust you to:

  • Work closely with colleagues on real-time news monitor and deliver quick turnaround spot stories

  • Stay poised and focused in a real-time news environment

  • Knowledgeable about different subject matters on China's news that are crucial to global investors

  • Be proactive in communication with reporters and editors across regions, including China teams in a different time zone

  • Be a constructive, flexible, and dependable team player

  • Be committed to the best journalistic practices

You'll need you to:

  • At least 5 years of experience in financial journalism

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese

  • At least three years of experience covering China-related financial and business news

  • Experience working in a real-time news environment
