Bloomberg Intelligence ("BI") is seeking an Asset Allocation Strategist to complement its team of Equity, ESG and FICC strategists. As a BI Asset Allocation Strategist, you will be part of a fast-growing global team, responsible for research coverage and thought leadership including building new capabilities that allow investors and asset owners to evaluate cross asset portfolio considerations supported by strong underlying data and analytics.

The role:

The strategist will develop a set of quantitative models and supporting research to allow terminal users to explore various investment allocation frameworks across public asset classes as well as the private credit and private equity markets. The product will also include ESG considerations, drawing on Bloomberg’s extensive ESG research, analytics and data. Strategists within Bloomberg Intelligence publish research accompanied by their interactive Excel and Python-based analytics that allow users to evaluate various scenarios, understand historical and potential future correlations as well as highlighting current and emergent themes impacting markets. Candidates should be strong communicators capable of engaging with clients and collaborating with colleagues across geographies and markets, with a goal of building relationships across asset owners, public market investors and the private equity/credit communities.

Requisite experience and skills:

  • A minimum of 7 years professional experience covering asset allocation or similar experience

  • Strong quantitative and modeling knowledge

  • Understanding of the various public and private markets, with a clear understanding of the private equity and private credit markets and product offerings

  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

  • Independent thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset

  • Ability to develop professional and collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues

  • Familiarity with Bloomberg family of indices

  • Bachelor's Degree, with CFA designation or MBA preferred

  • Strong knowledge of the Bloomberg Terminal
