Assistant Accountant

Job Description:

In the Assistant Accountant role within our digital finance team, you will be exposed to a broad array of accounts, perfect for those who are currently undergoing their accounting qualification. You’ll be preparing many important schedules during our month-end process, which include Revenue Pipelines and intercompany reconciliations. This role will involve dealing with a multitude of stakeholders from around the globe in different Warner Music offices. No month is ever the same.

Here you’ll get to:

  • Prepare deal-specific pipelines for revenue accounting entries, accruing revenue on behalf of international affiliates.

  • Support the intercompany process including reconciliation, correspondence with affiliates and drive resolution of any queries that arise.

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and analytical reviews for management pack.

  • Preparation of month-end journals in accordance with group policy. This will cover areas such as centralised cost accruals, intercompany journals and artist advances.

  • Provide ad-hoc support to assist with audit queries, artist and label management requests, project work - working directly with the Finance Manager and Finance Director.

  • Support with the ongoing transition to our new end-to-end ERP system.

  • Continually strive for improvements, development of effective controls and processes while supporting implementation of such improvements.
