Job Description:

L3 Harris Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced Logistics Engineer to join our logistics team in leading the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities on the Digital Transformation, Acquisition, Modernization, and Modification (DTAMM) program. This role will be a logistics support engineer for activities supporting program efforts at the Vandenberg Space Force Base (SFB) site. The individual filling this role must be in the local area of Vandenberg SFB to work on-site as required, with the option to work remotely on days on-site support is not required (local area is defined as 100 miles from Vandenberg SFB).

Essential Functions:

The Logistics Senior Specialist duties include but are not limited to:

  • Logistics technical expert with complete latitude in day-to-day decision-making and focus on Integrated Logistics Support Management, as part of the enterprise-wide IT Asset Management Program IAW with program, customer, and DoD policies & procedures and commonly utilized industry best practices.

  • Develop logistics product documentation, i.e. Product Support Plan (PSP), Logistics Management Information (LMI), Work Unit Code (WUC), Source Maintenance & Recoverability (SMR) codes, Support Equipment Requirement Documents (SERD), and customer/leadership presentations.

  • Develop recommendations for required spares utilizing modeling and analysis.

  • Conducts lifecycle management of assets from procurement to disposal.

  • Maintains database of logistics information. Interprets data on logistics elements, such as availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing or distribution, supplier management, or transportation.

  • Tracks, manages, and coordinates the purchase of new equipment, replacements, and upgrades, properly routing purchase order approvals.

  • Catalogs, identifies, tracks, transfers, and allocates assets. Executes asset control processes to monitor identifying, tracking, control, and accounting of assets.

  • Analyzes supply chain processes to identify or recommend opportunities to streamline operations, save costs, and reduce inefficiencies. Researches and recommends asset compliance and service improvements.

  • Monitors shipments and traces shipment routes to ensure that the most efficient shipping and delivery methods are used for every delivery.

  • Supports asset inventory and tracking documentation that tracks the financial aspects of an asset, including management, forecasting, renewal, reporting, and delivery of managed devices.

  • Provides feedback on vendor operations (e.g. freight forwarders) according to quality standards. Investigates late delivery claims from customers, following the path of the shipment from receipt to delivery to spot problems and verify customer claims.

  • Contributes to logistics-related knowledge articles for inclusion in the knowledgebase.

    Qualifications:

  • Active SECRET security clearance

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience developing and presenting logistics product technical documentation. Outstanding communication (written and verbal) skills and be capable of developing and presenting reports and presentations to the project teams, weapon system management and customer personnel in a clear, articulate, and concise manner.

  • Experience with Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Sources (DMSMS).

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, Power Point, and Word.

  • Working knowledge in acquisition life cycle processes, product development, and Life Cycle Cost modeling.

  • Working knowledge of technical order development, content, and change activities.

  • Working knowledge of Reliability, Availability, & Maintainability (RAM) modeling.

  • Familiar with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) policies and procedures.

  • Working knowledge of maintenance contracts management and procedures for warranty repairs.

    In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $62,500 - $117,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
