Empire Livestock, LLC Accounting Manager in Loganton, Pennsylvania

A small business in Loganton, PA is looking for an energetic, self-motivated professional to fill a full-time accounting manager position with a desire to embrace a challenging opportunity while taking on a variety of assignments. This position reports to the Owner of the Company.

Duties:

• Oversee and manage the business accounting work, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and 401(k) payments / reconciliations. 

• Processing bank deposits. Helping with year-end financials and taxes. Prepare weekly payroll general ledger journal entries, complete month end / year end closing to include general ledger journal entries, and the daily review of accounts receivables. 

• Analyze financial information, summarize financial status, prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information. Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports.

• Lead / support forecasting and budgeting for markets

• Support Business Administration with payroll functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance

• 5 -- 7 years of relevant experience

• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and QuickBooks

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence and collaborate

• Problem solver, be able to work under strict timelines, detailed oriented, and able to multi-task

• Knowledge of income statement preparation, balance sheet analysis, and capital project spending process. Working knowledge of GAAP.

• Willing to learn Auction Master Pro (livestock auction software)
