Overview As part of USU Extension's Healthy Relationships Utah initiative, the Program Coordinator II will manage a team of, or multiple teams of, Family Life Educators and coordinate day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and operational activities of grant-funded projects promoting and teaching relationship skills, with the target population of adolescents.

Healthy Relationships Utah is an Extension initiative that offers free curriculum-based, relationship skills courses. These courses are taught in-person and virtually in partnership with state agencies, youth-serving organizations, correctional facilities, alternative high schools, behavioral health centers, etc. throughout Utah. The position is supported by grants. Future grants may allow for additional hours/week. Continued employment is contingent upon performance and on-going grant funding.

The administrative offices for USU Extension are in Logan Utah, where work space is available.

This position is telework eligible within the state of Utah, consistent with USU policy 330.

Responsibilities A list of primary responsibilities includes, but is not limted to:

  • Coordinate and implement educational, logistical, technical, and financial aspects of relationship education programs.
  • Serve as a principal liaison between students, faculty, staff, and/or external constituencies.
  • Facilitate in-services, seminars, meetings, and special projects; may perform specialized activities of a programmatic nature in direct support of the accomplishment of program objectives and protocol.
  • Teach and lead seminars, classes, and/or workshops.
  • Coordinate activities of support staff, consultants, faculty, and/or volunteers engaged in implementation and administration of program objectives.
  • Monitor and administer program revenues and expenses; may develop or participate in the development of funding proposals for the programs.
  • Write and/or assist with writing grants and proposals as appropriate to the objectives and funding nature of the program(s); may participate in other fundraising activities.
  • Collect and facilitate data analysis; prepare scheduled and special reports; maintain program records and statistical information.
  • Ensure completion of clerical and administrative support tasks, including creation, typing, and editing of program correspondence, purchasing documents, reports, program handbooks, and other publications.
  • Write and/or assist with writing grants and proposals as appropriate to the objectives and funding nature of the program; may participate in other fundraising activities.
