The Family Place Utah is seeking applicants for a full time Events Coordinator. The position is with the Advancement Team and reports to the Advancement Manager.

The Family Place Utah is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization striving to achieve its mission of Strengthening Families and Protecting Children in Cache and Rich Counties through therapy, education, and 24-hour Kid's Place care and shelter services.

Duties Synopsis

Duties include organizing & promoting events, fostering teamwork, and soliciting sponsorships. Must be a leader, self-directed, organized, and an excellent communicator. Responsible for tracking events, participation, and outcomes. Represents The Family Place Utah at community events, organization meetings and activities as assigned. Must have a passion for The Family Place Utah's mission and a commitment to advocate for children and advance the mission of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Pass annual background criminal investigation

  2. Bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, or related field or demonstrated related experience

  3. Ability to think strategically, creatively problem solve, exercise good judgment and lead change

  4. Impeccable integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven and self-directed

  5. Passion for The Family Place Utah's purpose and mission

-Demonstrated competency in public speaking

-Commitment to advocacy for children

-Advancing the mission and goals of the organization

  1. Ability to promote The Family Place Utah through community events

  2. Proven ability to work with a dynamic team and build strong working relationships

  3. Ability to connect with people and foster relationships

  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  5. Food handlers permit and CPR certification (certifications may be earned after hire)
