The mission of the position is to plan, coordinate and control all manufacturing engineering activities in order to meet budget and production targets (e.g. maximize production equipment availability and utilization, reduce waste such as scrap and lead time) moreover the position is responsible to plan, coordinate and control all facility management activities in order to meet budget and facility management targets (e.g. utilities and media availability, facility costs, etc.)

▪ manage and coordinate the manufacturing engineering function of the plant

▪ contribute to strategic and operative planning of the plant (e.g. with respect to investments, capacity and headcount planning)

▪ ensure the achievement of manufacturing engineering targets according to internal and external customer expectations

▪ initiate and control investments for production equipment (e.g. production machines, assembly equipment, automation technology, etc.) and manufacturing engineering equipment (e.g. for software tools, equipment for machine installation/maintenance)

▪provide support to manage and coordinate all facility management activities for the plant

▪ contribute to strategic and operative planning of the plant (e.g. with respect to investments, capacity and headcount planning)

▪ cooperate in control investments for facility equipment (e.g. energy supply, steam generation, emission treatment, etc.)

▪ support the interface to segment, BU or BA functions in order to gather local facility management requirements and demands and other feedback

▪ participate in and/or steer global or local facility management related and cross-functional projects

▪ prepare, review and manage the budget and forecast of manufacturing engineering/facility management cost centers

▪ university degree, preferably in production or engineering management, industrial engineering or related discipline

▪ 5 or more years of professional experience in manufacturing, preferable in two functional areas, e.g. IE, quality, operations, etc.

▪ cross functional experience e.g. in maintenance, quality, supply chain or CBS preferred
