We are seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic to join our team and perform repairs and maintenance on forklifts and diesel engines. Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on forklifts and diesel-powered equipment.

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in forklifts and other heavy equipment.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and services to minimize equipment downtime.

  • Perform engine tune-ups, oil changes, brake adjustments, and other required repairs on diesel engines.

  • Replace worn-out or faulty parts such as gears, bearings, and seals in engines and mechanical systems.

  • Utilize diagnostic tools and software to pinpoint issues with forklifts and diesel engines.

  • Keep detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed on equipment.

  • Maintain a clean and organized shop environment, ensuring tools and equipment are in good condition.

  • Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring compliance with company standards and OSHA regulations.

  • Collaborate with the operations team to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently.

  • Order replacement parts and maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.

  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications to equipment.

The essential functions of this role include:
