ICP Sales Specialist

Location: The team are based in the Manchester office, however this is a Field Sales position which allows you to work flexibly, therefore we will consider anyone from anywhere in the UK.

The Integrated Control Panels (LV Control gear) sales specialist will be part of the UK Smart Infrastructure Electrical Products Business Unit and will be responsible for the development of SIRIUS & SENTRON LV Control & Protection Products in the UK. The role requires the development of sales with external customer groups including OEM’s, Panel Builders and System Integrators with specific focus on developing the Industrial Control Partner channel.

The role will also include the promotion of a complete Siemens Solution through the Industrial Control Partner network.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a strong team providing the most complete LV Control Gear solutions in the market. Siemens have seen significant market share growth in this area over recent years. This position offers an excellent opportunity to continue developing this success.

You’ll make a difference by:

· Acting as the Specialist for Industrial Control Partners in the GB&I market.

· Educating the ICP partner sales teams to drive growth.

· Actively participating in account planning sessions in cooperation with the Partner sales organisation and Partner Management.

· Developing and presenting competitor conversion proposals, in conjunction with technical resources.

· Operates closely with the Product Management and Technical support team to deliver the Business Unit growth strategy.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience will include:

  • Knowledge of customer applications and concerns in industrial control product applications is required, with background specifically in LV Control Gear theory and understanding of Variable Speed Drive Technology.

  • An engineer with an electrical background that possesses in-depth knowledge of the industrial control product application space:

  • customer challenges, pain-points and decision processes

  • Siemens and competitive product family landscape and target markets

  • Industrial control product selling process

  • Communication is a key aspect of this role – verbal and written. Presentation skills are required both delivering presentations and also developing standardised presentation material.

  • Good commercial acumen

  • Knowledge of market insight and competitor product lines.

  • HNC / HND in electrical/mechanical engineering is preferred.

  • Significant experience in industry working in industrial control product environment will be an advantage.

  • A full UK driving license is essential as travel is a core part of this role
