PSP Group LLC Senior Accountant in Livonia, Michigan
Be responsible for financial analysis and month-end close process and procedures for assigned areas. Conduct month-end accounting procedures including preparation of journal entries adherence to US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Perform reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts. Prepare regular financial analysis and have communication with stakeholders throughout the organization weekly and monthly to help explain operating results. Generate reporting for management that will be used to drive decision-making. Coordinate deliverables with auditors, external parties, and leadership on a regular basis. Compilation of notes and reports for the quarterly and annual SEC disclosure reporting package. Work on special projects designed to drive process improvement and efficiency including IT based initiatives. Ensure SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance in area of responsibilities. Perform accounting responsibilities in support of general accounting under US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Assist in the annual budgeting process as required.
