MTC Registered Nurse (On Call) in Livingston, Texas

Overview

Pay: $37.73/hr + $2.00/hr shift differential

Management & Training Corporation and the IAH Detention Center are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team.

Employment type : PRN

Shift: 12-hour shifts, 6:00-6:00

Location: 3400 FM 350, Livingston, TX 77351

Essential responsibilities:

  • Attend sick call with the physicians to see detainees; prepare examining room and equipment.

  • Call the physician for medication and treatment orders and other emergencies.

  • Operate pill call, administer medication and accurately and completely document treatment as required by applicable policies and procedures.

  • Closely monitor all potential catastrophic illnesses.

  • Provide health counseling and health education on an individual or group basis, as required.

Education and experience requirements:

  • A degree in nursing

  • A current, valid nursing license for the state of Texas or a compact state.

  • Must possess current CPR certification.

  • Must work within the Texas state board of nursing scope of practice.

  • A valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record is required, unless waived by management.
