Applies newly acquired knowledge to technical or engineering assignments that provide background and experience to accept additional responsibilities in their area of specialty later when the technical degree is completed. Candidate will gain experience with and knowledge of Parker products, internal processes and systems, and technical customer requirements sufficient to perform future responsibilities with general direction.

· Performs assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities that may include cross functional experience. Duties may include time studies and assignments by engineering manager.

· Actively acquires on the job training and knowledge of specialized technical or engineering principles and techniques required for Parker's products. Assignments are at a professional level but require guidance and direction from more experienced Engineering Manager.

· Performs a variety of routine technical assignments to provide experience and familiarization with the technical or engineering staff methods practices and programs of the company.

· Assists senior level team members to accomplish their project assignments by completing specific analysis or well- defined portions of the overall assignment. Learns project management techniques and participates in design or similar program reviews.

· Fundamental theoretical knowledge of technical engineering principles, concepts, and techniques and specific discipline as required for position (e.g. Manufacturing, mechanical, electronics, packaging, optics, quality, or test)

· Ability to learn and use basic standard business application software and specialized engineering software.

· Ability to work on problems of fundamental scope and complexity to apply knowledge to various learning and developmental projects.

· Ability to research and analyze data and develop recommendations or resolve problems.

· Fundamental knowledge of basic engineering analysis tools

· Ability to read, understand, and follow written and/or verbal procedures, processes, and instructions.

· Ability to work independent of direct supervision.

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment with management and coworkers.

· Ability to read analyze and interpret technical journals and reports.

· Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies and define problems, collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

· Ability to read, write, and communicate, in English.

· Proficiency with MS Office Suite
