Widely regarded as a leader in special education, SINAI operates 8 schools for individuals ages 5-21, with a wide range of learning and developmental disabilities as well as other special needs. We focus on maximizing each student’s academic, emotional, and social potential, while developing a strong knowledge and love of his or her traditional Jewish heritage. We teach our students skills that promote success in mainstream academic, social and vocational settings, and empower them to become productive and confident members of the community. Each of SINAI’s schools is integrated within a regular education partner Jewish Elementary or High School, creating an inclusion experience that is personalized for every single child. SINAI at JKHA, for elementary and middle school students in grades one through eight, partners with Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy (JKHA), located in Livingston, NJ. SINAI at JKHA serves students with a range of special needs, and boasts a professional-to-student ratio of 1:1.2. SINAI at JKHA is seeking a highly motivated Judaic Studies teacher for the 2024-25 school year to teach children with special needs, ranging from ages 6-14. The individual should have a Master of Special Education and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience with children. ResponsibilitiesTeaching Jewish education to students with special needs ranging in ages 6-14Collaborate with co-educators and parents to facilitate the most productive environment possible for each individual’s learning needs.
