Friona Industries Administrative Assistant - Littlefield, TX in Littlefield, Texas

The Administrative Assistant will be a team player who is self-motivated, detailed oriented, with strong organizational skills. The successful individua l will be results driven, able to multi-task, and able to thrive in a quick paced environment.

Roles and Tasks

  • Provide courteous and responsive customer service.

  • Manage input and reporting of daily inventory.

  • Administer accounts payable functions related to purchase contracts and payment inquires.

  • Assist in answering phones, fielding questions, and directing calls.

  • Enter and track Cattle, commodity, medicine and feed transactions in Turnkey and Micro

  • Weighing fat cattle for shipment

  • Weighing of inbound/outbound grain and grading of corn.

  • Grade grain, weigh trucks and run other tests

  • Communicate and work with customers and stakeholders to support the needs of the feedyard.

  • Maintain and support grain accounting functions, inventory tracking, freight bill management, and customer settlements

  • Work collaboratively with all departments

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED preferred

  • Commodities and agricultural experience preferred

    Specific Knowledge / Experience:

Excellent customer service skills, communication skills, multi-tasking, detailed and accurate record keeping is required. Customer contact skills are necessary as well as some basic administrative experience. Additional duties will include answering phones, greeting vendors, and other miscellaneous duties. Experience operating scales and grading corn preferred and familiarity with excel spreadsheets.
