Overview

As the Respiratory Therapy Director at CHI St Vincent, you'll oversee a staff that cares for partients. Your previous experience as a Respiratory Therapist adds tremendous value to our patient care team. Every interaction is an opportunity to improve your understanding of a patient's needs or the needs of your patient care team. You'll advocate for your team as you support them in reaching their full potential, aligning with our operational goals and objectives.

To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your staff.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees smooth flow of operations, acts as a resource to staff for operational needs, and handles day-to-day patient satisfaction concerns

  • Ensure your direct reports and department are positioned to deliver the best care possible to our patients

  • Recruits, hires, trains, disciplines and supervises staff, including performance evaluations, and competency assessments

  • Assist with budget development, management and issues cost effective operations

  • Monitor productivity and efficiency of your department

  • Mentor people on your team. Share your knowledge and confidence the patient care team

Qualifications

  • Active RRT license in the State of Arkansas

  • Registration or certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

  • At least 5 years of experience as a working Respiratory Therapist in an acute care setting

  • 2 years leadership experience, strongly preferred

Pay Range

$42.49 - $61.61 /hour
