Position Description:\ \ Job Purpose and Scope:\ \ Responsible for promoting compliance within the Bank\'s CRA Program including conducting research and interpreting applicable laws and regulations that support the development and implementation of a regulatory change management plan.\ \ Essential Job Functions:

  • Trains, reviews policies and procedures, monitors performance and assists with corrective action(s) related to the CRA Compliance Management System (CMS).
  • Develops a comprehensive change management plan that outlines specific steps, timelines, gap analysis, and resource requirements for successful implementation of the new CRA rule as directed by CRA leadership.
  • Conducts research, interprets application to the Bank, and writes/provides regulatory briefs to management/department as it relates to CRA and other related regulations.
  • Stays abreast and maintains an inventory of regulatory notifications, articles, and alerts of CRA and other related and/or applicable laws and regulations.
  • Reviews and proofs regulatory related correspondence and memorandums.
  • Writes and edits the CRA Self-Assessment(s).
  • Conducts research to support department efforts, such as market studies, economic data, labor and unemployment statistics, housing, etc.
  • Prepares and produces records for CRA Exams.
  • Ensures data integrity and serves as a control function by reviewing and determining CRA eligibility related to CD activities for submission during CRA Examinations.
  • Regularly exercise discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.
  • Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.
  • Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.

\ \ Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the Community Reinvestment Act, and related laws and regulations.
  • Ability to prepare written documents in regulatory style and format.
  • Ability to self-edit work for spelling, grammatical, and punctuation errors.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative to accomplish work objectives.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with exacting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.

  • Ability to demonstrate effective use of specialized software.
