Bank OZK Catering Assistant/Day Porter in Little Rock, Arkansas

Job Purpose & Scope

Responsible for catering coordination for business meetings and corporate events and maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of the bank facility.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assists with daily meeting and conferencing services requiring special catering, helping to coordinate logistics amongst vendors, external guests and internal participants seamlessly and with a high degree of operational accuracy.

  • Assists with event planning including pre- and post-event cleaning inspections to ensure expected levels of appearance and cleanliness.

  • Assists in daily stocking of food and beverage, as appropriate, throughout the building.

  • Performs daily cleaning duties including vacuuming, dusting, wiping, mopping, polishing, trash emptying, glass/mirror cleaning, etc. of, common areas, bathrooms, kitchens/break rooms, stairwells, and meeting rooms according to cleanliness and sanitization standards.

  • Performs recurring upkeep duties (i.e., clean high traffic areas, ice makers, refrigerators, bathrooms, dispensers).

  • Performs additional, special cleaning for pre-event, event, and post-event needs.

  • Responds to all requests for services in a timely, satisfactory and professional manner; continuously anticipates needs and strives to exceed expectations

  • Informs supervisor immediately of any facility repair needs such as leaky faucets, clogged toilets, stained or torn carpet, cracked tile, wall repair, broken blinds, etc.

  • Strictly follow instructions on safe usage of cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality for any information that may be visible or overheard during cleaning.

  • Maintain security procedures after hours by locking doors and securing private areas.

  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality to work.

  • Follow Bank policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of safety and use procedures for cleaning equipment and chemicals.

  • Knowledge of catering and cleaning services operations.

  • Ability to maintain attention to detail to ensure thorough building cleaning

  • Ability to demonstrate effective time management

  • Ability to perform physical tasks as required for essential job functions

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends to meet the needs of the department

  • Skilled in safe operation and maintenance of cleaning equipment (e.g., commercial vacuums, buffers, polishers, push carts).

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education, preferred.

  • 1+ year experience in commercial catering, preferred.

  • 1+ year experience in commercial housekeeping, preferred.
