Job Description

Job Title: Logistics Specialist (C-130J MATS)

Description

This position is responsible for assisting the overall C-130J MATS Logistics Program

complete various supply functions. The position initiates, completes, examines, and

processes purchase orders, solicits quotes from vendors, and accomplishes the purchase

of supplies, equipment and services used for Logistics Support. Submits purchase orders

for said supplies and services to ensure the delivery of product can be made to meet

customer needs. Tracks all outstanding purchase orders, tracks inventory levels, processes

routine orders and helps determine when to make purchases. Maintains list of bidders and

offers, and records the history of supplier performance. Performs advanced administrative

duties requiring a good working knowledge of Nova Technologies operations. Provides

overall support to the CLS Manager and Logistics Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Initiate and update purchase orders as necessary.

Expedite all past due purchase orders and reschedule as needed.

Obtains and maintains necessary purchasing audit data.

Locates and develops sources of supply for materials in his/her assigned

commodities

Knows the market for mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical materials and

also be able to support the procurement of solvents, paints, computer supplies, and

small tools

Composes and prepares confidential correspondence, reports, and other complex

documents.

Creates and maintains databases and spreadsheet files.

Maximizes office productivity through proficient use of appropriate software

applications.

Researches and develops resources that create timely and efficient workflow.

PIEE representative/processor. Must be able to process cases from beginning to

end unassisted by others.

Monitors work order status and alerts managers of potential issues.

Completes program/site expense reports for logistics materials and services.

Prepares import/export documents for sites outside of the CONUS

Performs audits as needed to ensure program compliance.

Various inventory related taskings including initial spares acceptance.

Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Obtain or be eligible to obtain a DOD secret security clearance. Must be familiar with ITAR

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Compliance with all company Information Systems security policies and procedures.

Personally responsible for proper classification and marking of all information and materials,

in any form. Shall be assigned specific responsibility for Information Security by immediate

supervisor or department management. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access,

to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside

company without management approval. Incumbent shall execute company non-disclosure

agreement prior to access to any controlled information.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform

each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the

Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime, including occasional weekends.

Logistics Management Concepts, Principles, and Practices of Integrated Logistics

Support functions.

Experience interpreting and defining short and long-range Integrated Logistics

Support guidance.

Asset management, Compliance and Auditability.

Good negotiation skills and supplier management skills.

Inventory control and handling and storage requirements of logistics material.

Detail oriented with good written and verbal communication skills.

Work with minimal supervision.

Must be familiar with ISO quality standards

Fundamental knowledge of government procurement
