Volt LAB Research Chemist/Physicist/Engineer III in Little Canada, Minnesota

Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Product Engineering Support Specialist, in Maplewood, MN, with a well-known industry leader. In this role you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. This is a first shift position. As a Product Engineering Support Professional, you will:

  • Support the product engineering department, which is part of the global laboratory within the Medical Surgical business.
  • Assist with special projects, including a project to align documentation within an important product line.
  • Create standard work in conjunction with existing Standard Operating Procedures to increase the efficiency of reoccurring tasks.
  • Work with multiple functions in a team-based environment to attain project milestones.
  • Gain knowledge & experience applying medical device design controls.

Estimated Duration 24+ months. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple objectives simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills (written, oral, and presentation) and systems proficiency.
  • One year of experience developing, supporting and/or maintaining commercialized products in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Product, manufacturing, quality systems, or general documentation experience in the medical device products [i.e., FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485]
