What you'll do: * Inspects raw material brought to the seamer to ensure proper specifications are met to produce a high-quality product to deliver to customers. * Operates seaming equipment. Monitors quality of carpet pad flowing through the line. * Cuts away defective material as needed. Operate computer for padding production program. * Maintains adequate amount of work materials and monitors the equipment within the assigned area to ensure and even flow of production through the seaming process. * Gains assistance as needed from senior team members or the Supervisor to resolve any unusual issues or situations that may impact the production process. * Performs general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work environment. * Inspects raw material brought to the seamer to ensure proper specifications are met to produce a high-quality product to deliver to customers. What you have: * 18 years of age. * Basic computer skills * Prior experience in a production environment preferred. * Must be an effective team member. * Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with employees in the immediate unit and in related support roles. * Ability to perform simple mathematic calculations. * Requires a high degree of mental and visual attention to perform all tasks in a safe manner. * Must be able to lift/maneuver approximately 85-100 pounds several times during the shift. * Must be able to stand/walk throughout the workday. * Able to work in a environment that includes hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, moving mechanical parts, and airborn particles. Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $15.65 and $17.52 per hour at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the compensation package, which depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other company sponsored benefit programs.
