SECHAN ELECTRONICS INC Test Technician II - 2nd Shift in Lititz, Pennsylvania

We are currently looking to hire 2nd shift Test Technician II to support our Lititz, Pennsylvania facility.  You will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying developmental and production electronic components, parts and equipment and applying principles of electronics, electronic circuitry and electronic systems testing. Position Responsibilities: •  Test electronic units, using standard test equipment, and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment. •  Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems. •  Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed. •  Read blue prints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronic units, applying knowledge of electronics theory and components. •  Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working independently or with engineers. •  Identify complex problems and evaluate options to implement a solution. •  Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment. •  Assemble, test, and maintain test equipment or electronic systems according to engineering instructions. •  Maintain inventory of test equipment, related documentation, and location of equipment. •  Maintain working knowledge of test equipment, tools or software by attending workshops or other training. •  Watch gauges, dials, and other indicators to make sure machines, environmental chambers, and electronic equipment is working properly. •  Determine the type of tools and equipment needed to perform a specific job. •  Ability to troubleshoot failures to component level. •  Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment. •  Perform other duties as assigned to support business goals and objectives.

Skills & Abilities: •  Knowledge and ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, measuring devices, lab standards, and test equipment. •  Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Windows. •  Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with attention to details. •  Capable of handling constant changes in priorities. •  Knowledgeable in electronics and computer equipment, testing and processing, and troubleshooting circuit components. •  Knowledge of incoming test requirements, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effectiveness of the testing process. •  Advanced computer skills required

Qualifications: •  An associate's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or military training. •  3+ years of related work experience. •  Demonstrated ability to operate test systems, test equipment, computer systems and trouble shoot. •  Demonstrated ability utilizing test software and platforms. •  Ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, measuring devices, lab standards, and test equipment. •  Ability to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.

Work Environment: •  Production Environment:  Requires physical capability to work in a production environment up to 9 hours a day including; sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities including; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. •  Hours 6:00 -- 3:60, Monday through Thursday; Friday 6:00-2:30; occasional additional hours as needed •  9/80 work schedule. •  Office located in Lititz, PA
