The Project Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of a project as it progresses. This individual will streamline financial processes to ensure the timely and efficient completion of all projects.

Position Responsibilities: •  Assess and refine project cost and schedule plans for achievability •  Maintain monthly forecast budgets and produce accurate cost reports •  Manage the invoice process and ensure invoices are generated timely •  Resolve complex invoicing and reconciliation issues •  Assist with the annual budget process •  Provide periodic budget variances, pipeline and funding analyses reports for all contract portfolios •  Analyze project performance, identify variances and recommend corrective measures •  Drive operational efficiencies and profitability through effective communication with program managers •  Manage program documentation, ensuring compliance and accuracy •  Support compliance and value audits •  Participate in process improvement initiatives and prepare comprehensive performance reports •  Assist with month-end close process •  Performs other duties as assigned to support business goals and objectives

Skills & Abilities: •  Must, above all else, maintain an exceptional level of professionalism and confidentiality •  Ability to multitask and meet deadlines •  Strong project management and communication skills •  Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain relationship effectively •  Must be organized, self-staring, and detail oriented •  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with average to advance skill in Excel is required; must be willing to advance Microsoft skills

Qualifications: •  Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field •  2+ years of related experience •  Must have a good understanding of GAAP •  Cost or project accounting experience a plus

Work Environment: •  Office Environment: Requires physical capability to work in an office environment including sit/stand up to 9 hours a day and use basic office tools such as a computer, copier/printer, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. •  Hours: 7:00 AM -- 5 PM Monday -- Thursday; Friday 7:00 AM -- 4:00 PM with additional hours as needed to meet demand. Occasional off-shift hours may also be required to provide support to operations. •  9/80 work schedule. •  Office located in Lititz, PA.
