Maintenance Technician

Fulltime 10 days per pay, 10:00am-6:30pm with weekend and holiday rotation.

*Job Summary- *Provides general maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance for the entire campus.

Skills and Responsibilities

  • Minor maintenance and repairs of heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning and maintenance equipment and machinery.
  • Participate in housekeeping/laundry tasks as per the schedule.
  • Maintain grounds for safe and neat appearance.
  • Report safety hazards in the building and on the grounds, documenting all hazards in accordance with Life Safety, the Department of Health, and any other regulatory requirements.
  • Perform seasonal groundskeeping duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities.

Position Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years' experience in a similar role or specialized training in HVAC, plumbing, and/or electric preferred.
  • 18 years of age or older with a valid PA driver's license required.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow directions in English.
  • Ability to carry/lift weights in the range of up to 40 pounds without assistance, 41 to 75 pounds with assistance, and weight in excess of 75 pounds with proper use of assistive equipment.
  • Exposure to inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme cold and heat, blood borne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., working within close proximity to electrical current), chemical hazards, and respiratory hazards.
