Mac Papers Service Technician - Packaging Equipment - 1899 in Lithia Springs, Georgia

Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation and repair of Packaging and Industrial equipment. Will provide professional and technically competent customer service experience and support of Mac Papers products and services during field visits or dispatches. The goal of this position is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention, and increases profitability. (This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)

Essential Position Functions: Troubleshooting, Diagnosis, and Repair. Installation and provide training to Customers on the operation of their packaging equipment. Professionally perform repairs at customer location. Check service schedule daily and tie workflow to schedule. Track service calls, complete service orders, and enter information. Complete in-house repairs and order parts when needed. Responsible for care and maintenance of company equipment and tools. Attend training classes as required. Operate service vehicle in a safe manner and keep vehicle clean. Manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and tasks. Other duties as required. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Build positive relationships with customers. Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities. Professional and proper use of common hand tools. Experienced in professional packaging equipment repair techniques. Familiar with industrial equipment control wiring. Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams. PLC experience is a plus. Follow established company procedures and protocols. Cooperate and share information with technical team. Proven field service experience. Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment. Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules. Familiarity with mobile tools and applications. Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills. Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer. Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner. Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communications skills. Must be able to work alone, and with a team. Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
