Overview
Mastercard’s digital payments strategy is accelerating the transition from card payments to digital payments, using mobile phones and other devices to support issuers, merchants, and wallet providers. Consumers are expanding their range of digital activity across channels/devices every day, and you can be a key contributor in driving this evolution.
We are looking for an experienced Digital / Data Services Product Manager to join our Mastercard Digital Enablement Services (MDES) team and take responsibility for product analytics, value add services, and future product enhancements. The ideal candidate would exhibit an in-depth knowledge and skills in data mining, information analysis, creating customer-centric data offerings, and have a demonstrable experience in the development and commercialization of B2B value add services. The candidate should have strong business acumen and passion for solving problems and creating value. Must have advance knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools. The role requires strong team-working skills and ability to operate across geographical and time zones.
Role
The Product Manager (PM) will be responsible for the development and management of products/ services within the MDES Issuer Enablement and Customer Onboarding domains. This includes B2B customer onboarding, automation and self-service applications. The purpose of the role includes:
Building product analytics to enable product owners make informed product development and commercialization decisions
Building and commercializing customer-facing value add services
Improving customer experience (internal and external)
Enabling new product functionality and value add services
Developing future offerings and strategic product enhancements.
This role will require strong data mining skills and experience in leading cross-functional engagement and building collaboration with customers, product owners, UX designers, technical/ engineering and PMO teams. The role will require strong strategic mindset and ability to operate within complex matrix environments across geographical and time zones. The candidate should be comfortable scoping, planning, and executing large product development efforts as well as small rapid product feature enhancements.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps
Manage product development projects through the end-to-end product lifecycle
Define product requirements / roadmaps based on voice of customer and market inputs
Manage and maintain existing products, including internal solutions/platforms and customer-facing applications and services
Conduct market research and opportunity assessments on new ideas and concepts
Perform analysis of products/technology vs customer needs and business requirements
Define and manage business and technical requirements, UX requirements, design specifications and non-functional requirements for product development / enhancement / modernization
Scope, plan, and executing large development efforts as well as small rapid product feature enhancements
Build collaboration and manage internal stakeholders and external partners/ vendors
Manage the relationships of technical resources and the Global Technology Organization to maintain and build our platforms
Partner with key stakeholders across the organization, including product owners, solution designers, UX designers, engineering teams, program management office, business operations and support teams, technical writers, commercialization teams etc. to develop and deliver product enhancements
Coordinate with customer teams, customers and third parties to develop product strategies and possible enhancements of existing product offerings
Monitor product performance, provide feedback, define or approve/disapprove change control processes, and manage vendor relationships
Engage in idea generation, concept validation, business case development, and in some instances financial modelling and planning
Prepare product support materials for internal teams and external customers
Deliver product training for internal support teams and external customers
Ensure compliance with the company policies, processes, and governance
Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to other team members
Role requirements
Strong data analytics knowledge and experience in building and commercializing data and value add services in the B2B segment
Lead ideas generation, concept validation, business case development, define internal and external value propositions, and present proposals for executive approval
High-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment
High degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities and deliver results
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative and organization and project management skills
Strong ability to build rapport, lead cross-functional collaboration, and manage internal stakeholders and external partners/ vendors
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional, geographically distributed teams and vendors
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
5+ years professional experience with demonstrable track record
Skilled in using data analytics / data mining tools + experience with Confluence, Jira, AHA, Domo, Figma or similar tools

Experienced in delivering data analytics and value add services for B2B customers
Understand the technologies supporting the platform/product and is able to hold your own in debates with other Product Managers, Engineers, Architectures and Developers
Experienced in building organizational relationships, partnering with and influencing teams while commanding the respect of the individuals on the team
Experience with some of the following: Financial Services, Payments industry, Digital Commerce / e-Commerce, Cloud, Big Data, Data Science/Analytics, Microservices is a big plus
Skilled in operating in complex matrix structures and working in fast paced environments with different teams, across different time zones, and delivering multiple projects to deadlines
