OVERVIEW

The MDM Vendor Analyst will be part of the Master Data Management (MDM) team, which resides in the IT organization within Data & Analytics. The MDM team is responsible for a global shared service for the management and governance of Vendor and Material Master Data objects within the SAP systems. The proper governance policies, standards, and quality of our master data objects are critical to successful global operations and support multiple business functional areas. This role is accountable for managing Vendor Master Data change requests with SAP-MDG.

ROLES RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the Vendor Master Data objects in SAP

  • Review Master Data change requests and coordinate with the business user community to ensure accuracy and completeness of the data, while avoiding duplication and misclassification

  • Participate in Data Governance Councils with our internal functional business partners

  • Continuous improvement initiatives to analyze and improve the quality of our Master Data

  • Work in a team environment during capital projects that use our Master Data objects

  • Execute mass maintenance programs that manage our Master Data objects in bulk

  • Perform test script verifications to ensure proper functionality of Master Data objects and MDG

  • Contribute to our company Metadata by adding digital content about our Master Data objects

  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating with people from internal functional business departments: accounts payable, finance, supply chain, procurement, engineering

  • Provide training to functional business end-users of the MDG process workflow and usability

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates, bachelors or vocational degrees in business, computers, data, analytics, engineering

  • Recommend formal certifications from SAP, or functional experience in ERP, MDM, DG, DQ, BI

  • Fluent in the English language; prefer multi-lingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese

  • Strong analytical and research skills with meticulous attention to detail

  • Multi-tasking by processing a support backlog while working on project assignments

  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships
