The Emerging Capabilities Development organization of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a C# Software Developer . The position is located at the Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) in Linthicum, MD where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal production and emerging programs. The ideal candidate will have solid C# programming skills, strong experience with reports using VBA macro, excel, database experience in Oracle/MS SQL, and experience supporting users in a manufacturing environment.

Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) - located outside of Baltimore, Maryland - where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs. Northrop Grumman's ATL semiconductor foundry is a unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, Silicon Carbide, Carbon Nanotubes) and providing leading edge technology development in superconducting electronics. Our devices enable a number of Northrop Grumman's ground-based radars, avionic radars, and space systems. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain legacy Access VBA applications and Excel VBA macros.

-Assess data extraction, report generation, and bugs appearing in data visualization.

  • Ensuring data accuracy and availability.

  • Create/augment/maintain newer C# application

  • Test applications written by other developers

  • Report development involving data correlation between potentially multiple databases and/or files

  • Support user's software usage, finding bugs, data searches

  • Help facilitate the evolving needs of a microelectronics manufacturing facility

  • Other duties as assigned

This role is onsite position and no telework option.

This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the qualifications listed below

Basic Qualifications for Principal C# Software Developer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related engineering discipline with 5 years of relevant experience (MS with 3 years experience or PhD with 0 years experience ).

  • Application development experience using C# and at least one of these: .NET, Java or other Object-Oriented programming languages including ODBC database communications

  • Experience with basic SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and database technologies such as Oracle and MS SQL database technologies.

  • Willingness to migrate Visual Basic applications to C#.

  • Experience working closely with internal and external customers to obtain requirements.

-Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret clearance; US Citizenship required

Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal C# Software Developer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related engineering discipline with 9 years of relevant experience (MS with 7 years experience or PhD with 4 years experience).

  • Application development experience using C# and at least one of these: .NET, Java, or other Object-Oriented programming languages including ODBC database communications

  • Experience with basic SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and database technologies such as Oracle and MS SQL database technologies.

  • Willingness to migrate Visual Basic applications to C#.

  • Experience working closely with internal and external customers to obtain requirements.

Salary Range: $99,800 - $149,800

Salary Range 2: $123,800 - $185,800

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
