Team Carney, an award winning performance solutions company, is seeking a Personnel Vetting SME Instructor to support a DOD contract.  The Personnel Vetting Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and instructional programs to DoD personnel involved in the vetting and security clearance process. The instructor will ensure that all training materials and courses comply with DoD standards and regulations.

This position isHYBRID, with one day a week in office in Linthicum, MD. 

Current Secret Clearance Required.   

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update training curriculum and materials for personnel vetting processes.

  • Conduct classroom and virtual training sessions on personnel security principles, policies, and procedures.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as necessary.

  • Stay current with changes in personnel security and vetting regulations and incorporate these changes into training programs.

  • Provide guidance and support to trainees during and after the completion of training courses.

  • Collaborate with security professionals and other instructors to enhance training quality and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of education from an accredited university and 2 years of experience in the Personnel Vetting field.  In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, five years of experience as an instructor for adult learners, in formal classroom or via distance learning courses related to DoD Security Policy  

  • Experience in Personnel Vetting 

  • Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint 

  • Current Secret security clearance 

  • U.S. Citizenship 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of experience in Personnel Vetting
