Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to join the System Modeler department. The Senior Applications Engineer will use their expertise in algorithm development, data science and systems engineering to help our customers solve their problems. The ideal candidate will be technically skilled, solution driven and passionately curious about wanting to work at the forefront of systems engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Using expertise in algorithm development, data science and systems engineering to help our customers solve their problems

  • Working in areas such as data science, machine learning, AI, image processing, mechatronics, control systems and thermodynamics

  • Working with a variety of different projects using multiple programming languages, such as C++, Python, Modelica and Wolfram Language

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively with others in English and Swedish, including proficiency in written and verbal communication and strong listening skills

  • Ability to react quickly and adapt to changes in priorities, circumstances and direction

  • Master's degree in engineering or a related field

  • Expertise in at least one of the following or similar areas: machine learning, image processing, mechatronics, control design and thermodynamics

  • Programming proficiency in C++, C or Python

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in at least one of the following or similar areas: automotive, energy or gaming

  • Wolfram Language experience

  • Modelica experience
