Job Description

Summary:

  • Responsible for managing the Shipping team in the Lindon warehouse.

  • Ensures team meets fulfillment, accuracy, and other assigned goals as instructed by the warehouse manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Working with the freight companies to schedule pick-ups of FTL and LTL shipments.

  • Must maintain a high level of customer service by responding to other departments in a timely manner and with a positive attitude.

  • Ensures that all racking and equipment are properly maintained and free of damage or any condition that is unsafe for working conditions.

  • Needs to be flexible on the shift start and end times and that all daily assigned tasks are completed as necessary.

  • Builds and sustains a culture of safety-first mentality through daily walkthroughs, communicating with the team the expectations and providing ideas to improve safety.

Required Skills:

  • Be efficient with his/her time and proactively helping others.

  • Must have PC computer skills, with intermediate level expertise in Microsoft Office package.

  • Have strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and analytical skills.

  • Have the ability to work in a fast-paced and professional environment.

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and independent projects simultaneously in a timely manner with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent analytical skills, organizational, verbal, written, presentation, customer service, a motivated self-starter, good time management skills, creative problem solving, good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of management is required.

Required Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
